Notes

Large, fairly flat stone. (Apparently it used to be twice its present size but was broken when moved to present location.) The stone is now within a wire fence with concrete posts and is set in front of a low wall bearing the above inscription. The 'background' stones were donated by the members of Dinam Chapel and erected by John Lloyd Davies.

When the stone was in its original position on the Aber mountain, it served as a meeting place for miners' leaders and politicians at a time when political meetings were not permitted at individual collieries.
