Notes

Row of six miniature terraced houses echoing the terraced housing of the locality. Names of local heroes and heroines incised and painted black on smooth band of stone around each 'house'. Paved maze path around the houses. The mosaic in the path is a pattern from a local chapel window.

The Gateway Monument is a key feature of the Llynfi Valley Community Route, a safe, traffic-free pathway for walkers and cyclists. The project has been sponsored by Barclays Bank as part of its Barclays SiteSavers scheme which helps to transform derelict or disused land.
