Notes | ||
From 'The Bay and other Artwalks': 'The sculptor used a variety of traditional techniques - once employed in local shipping and rail industries - to create a series of horizontal railings. Viewed together the sculptural details gradually rise and fall, echoing tidal movement, while disguising their function as underground car park grilles.'
Cardiff Bay Arts Trust was established in 1990 as part of a policy on public art set out by Cardiff Bay Development Corporation. Over the first decade CBAT has worked with public institutions, private corporations and with the local community to enrich the experience for those who visit, live and work in the area. Following the wind up of CBDC, Cardiff Bay Arts Trust became CBAT The Arts & Regeneration Agency and continues to operate UK wide and internationally.
