Notes | ||
From 'The Bay and other Artwalks': 'Tess Jaray's elegant lamps suggest waterfront structures like cranes or masts and draw the eye upwards to the sky. Tom Lomax's more solid standards hint at dockside forms like bollards and capstans and appear firmly rooted to the ground. Nineteen lamps were originally made for Britannia Quay, but their success has led to further additions around Roath Dock.'
Cardiff Bay Arts Trust was established in 1990 as part of a policy on public art set out by Cardiff Bay Development Corporation. Over the first decade CBAT has worked with public institutions, private corporations and with the local community to enrich the experience for those who visit, live and work in the area. Following the wind up of CBDC, Cardiff Bay Arts Trust became CBAT The Arts & Regeneration Agency and continues to operate UK wide and internationally.
