Taken from Cadw report: Fountain set within a horseshoe-shaped, rubble arch with keystone and under a broad gablet slate roof. On either side of the fountain are bronze plaques set below green-stone hoodmoulds and within a central freestone panel with inscriptions. To centre is a green-stone bowl which is rounded and delicately ornamented with floral detail. Pink granite trough to base with keystones to twin segmental arches through which the water drains. Cobbles reset to front. At the time of PMSA inspection in July 1999 only one tap existed on the right-hand side. Fixings for two further taps exist, to the centre and left of the fountain.
Erected in 1898 by Mrs H.J.M. Lloyd-Verney (1844-1913), niece and heiress of J.Y.W. Lloyd, as a memorial to her husband, Colonel G.H. Lloyd-Verney (1842-1896), and to commemorate the completion of the village's piped water supply, a scheme begun by Colonel Lloyd-Verney.
