A tripartite shaft is set on a pedestal which bears wreaths of leaves on its four faces. This is set on a stone plinth. On top of the shaft there is a lamp. The shaft is circular. The lower section is covered with oak leaves and acorns in relief. The central longest section is circled with two rings of oak leaves and acorns. Two cornucopias descend from the lower section of the shaft at the back and curve around the sides of the pedestal. Fruit and oak leaves spill out of the cornucopias to the top of the stone base. Two boys are twined around the central section of the shaft. The lower one, on the south side, has his right foot on the edge of the cornucopia and his left foot on top of the pedestal. His left arm embrace the shaft, his right hand reaches to touch the other boy. This latter rest his right foot on the lower boys left shoulder. The lower boy is covered by some concealing drapery, the other wears shorts. The lamp has a copper frame around a reversed truncated cone of glass. Copper finial on top. The lamp rest on an open metal frame. A horizontal bar protrudes from the lowest part of the lamp. | ||
