Celtic-style ringed cross with 'Sword of Sacrifice' carved in relief on front face. The shaft of the cross is set on a pedestal of 2 stages on 2 steps. The cross is in unpolished granite, as is the rear face of the pedestal and the 2 steps. The front and side faces of the pedestal are polished. The memorial is located in a small paved area enclosed by evergreens - tall cypresses to the rear, lower shrubs at front. | ||

Inscriptions | - in black inscribed letters on front face of upper pedestal: TO THE GLORY OF GOD / AND IN GRATEFUL MEMORY / OF THE MEN OF THIS PARISH / WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES / IN THE WAR 1914 - 1918 - in black inscribed letters on front face of lower pedestal, 45 names in 3 columns of 15 each, in alphabetical order, the first name in full plus initials of middle names. On a block set obliquely across the two steps at the front: ALSO TO THE / SACRED AND BLESSED MEMORY OF THOSE / WHO LOST THEIR LIVES IN THE WORLD WAR / 1939 TO 1945 - follwed by 11 names in 3 columns [4, 4, 3] and under these: WE WILL REMEMBER THEM - on a bronze laurel wreath set against riser of lower step: FROM THEIR COMRADES WHO CAME BACK | |
