The memorial is located within a semi-circular paved enclosure, the front, roadside edge bounded by 8 short stone posts linked by a chain. The memorial itself is a short-armed cross with a square tapering shaft rising from a base mounted on a moulded hexagonal plinth of 2 steps. The front face of the shaft has 2 inscription plaques above a circular laurel wreath in bronze. | ||

Inscriptions | - on front face of shaft of cross are 2 metal plaques, one above the other, the uppermost bearing 11 names in alphabetical order with ranks and regiments, the lower bearing the dates 1939 - 1945 on the upper border and WORLD WAR on the lower: this latter plaque bears 7 names ordered as above. - at the foot of the shaft, on an escutcheon within a circular laurel wreath, all in bronze: GONE BUT NOT / FORGOTTEN / FROM / THEIR COMRADES / WHO CAME BACK - on a metal plaque below this wreath: SACRED TO THE MEMORY OF / THE MEN OF THIS VILLAGE / WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR - in raised letters on base of cross shaft: 1914 - 1918 | |
