Standing figure of a miner, his right foot on a chunk of coal, wielding a pick-axe. By his left foot is a cast of an Eccles Protector Lamp, inscribed with this name and 'Type 6 MEQ Safety Lamps'. On his back an 'Oldham' battery pack. The figure's base is flush with the gravel of the circular, low-walled setting. | ||
