Notes

Standing group of mother and small boy. The boy leans close to his mother's left side, clasping her skirt with his left hand. The mother's left hand rests on his head. His right arm stretches behind her to hold her right hand. From her right wrist hangs a 'string' shopping bag with what appear to be books at the bottom, plus a roll of string or yarn and a baby doll, plus an [unidentified] object decorated with a monogram.
