Notes | ||
The memorial takes the form of a part-painted limestone slab, slightly battered, on a 3-tiered limestone base. On the face towards the road is, near the top, a relief panel (somewhat in the style of Eric Gill) showing 3 naked boys, one lying dead and the other 2 kneeling over him. One of the kneeling boys holds a laurel wreath over the recumbent figure. Below the relief panel are 2 long name panels, placed side by side. | ||
