Notes

The memorial takes the form of a cross set on a tall tapering pillar. At the crossing of the arms is carved the Sacred Monogram. Supporting the pillar is a square pedestal, on the rear face of which is a laurel wreath carved in relief. The square pedestal is supported by 2 octagonal pedestals of increasing size.

- in raised letters in recessed lines on front face of square pedestal: TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN / GRATEFUL MEMORY OF BRAVE / MEN OF KIBWORTH BEAUCHAMP / AND KIBWORTH HARCOURT WHO / FELL IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 18 - on upper octagonal pedestal, incised and in black, the names of the dead in rank order starting with the left face: ranks, initials, surnames, 40 names in all, 5 to each face. - on lower octagonal pedestal, on the front 3 faces, at the top of each face in raised letters in recessed lines: 1st face: ALSO IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF 2nd face: THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES 3rd face: IN THE WORLD WAR 1939 - 1945 [below this inscription, incised and in black, the names of the WW2 dead in alphabetical order with full first name, other name initial and surname, no ranks, 4 on 1st face, 5 on 2nd, 4 on 3rd.
