Notes

'Autumn' is in the niche to the right of the chimney-piece on the lefthand wall from the ballroom entrance. She is a somewhat more matronly figure than 'Summer', and where that figure and 'Spring' were bareheaded, 'Autumn' has her cloak pinned to the crown of her head. However, she too is barefoot, her right heel raised, but not as high as 'Summer', and appearing to move with a slower motion onto her left foot. Her right arm is folded across her stomach holding her drapery to her, while her left arm is folded in the opposite direction to hold her torch at her right (all torches being thus directed towards the centre of the room). The statue is secured to the rear wall of the niche by a chain attached to the small of its back.
