On the north end of Ashley Street are three dancing / jumping figures, made up of metal leaves. Above them is a bell On the south gable end of Ashley Street is one figure, also made up of leaves, with arms stretched upwards | ||
The figures were commissioned as part of the Ashley Street housing development. Funding was provided by Urban Aid, SAC and Glasgow City Council. The project is part of the Percentage for Art scheme The housing development was the first new development in Woodlands for about 100 years | ||
The figures represent Woodland men and allude to the name of the area. | ||
