Inscriptions | On plaques either side of the sculpture: "In honour of the volunteers who left Nottinghamshire to fight in the International brigade, Spain 1936-1939. They went because their open eyes could see no other way. No Pasaran." The plaques then list the five who died and were buried in Spain, and the thirteen who returned. | |
