Notes

Drinking fountain with an obelisk on top. The fountain part is a square granite block with semi-circular basins on the north and south sides. On the west side is the inscription with an incised line around it. On the east side is a deep rectangular recess which goes right inside the block. All fixtures for fountain are missing. There are various holes on the obelisk presumably connected with the fountain workings. Above the block is an octagonal stand which supports the octagonal obelisk. This has a band of decoration around the tip. The monument stands on granite steps with a square block on either side beneath the basins (for standing on).

Christ Church was built 1872-77.
