Notes

Dummy window on Schoolmaster's house contains a stone plaque. The top part bears the image of the earlier school in high relief, the bottom has the inscription.

The school was occupied until 1851 and then pulled down between April 1851 and April 1852. The new school which bears the plaque had to be constructed on arches to avoid disturbing the graves of Christ Church churchyard.

The original Christ Church, Church of England Primary School, built in 1782.
