To celebrate the centenary of Messrs George Wimpey and Co. in the construction industry. An abstract piece of modern sculpture, a monolithic block of bronze shaped and angled, it is thought by some to be a representation of a knight's helmet. Unveiled by Sir Joseph Latham. | ||
